Pidät protects its ceramic birdhouses with Woamy Strong Boards

Finnish ceramic brand Pidät is now using Woamy Strong Boards to protect its multipack boxes for international shipping. The brand’s elegant ceramic birdhouse, Koti, is cushioned with Woamy boards to help prevent breakage during transportation. 

The goal was to use the same box previously used while replacing honeycomb boards with Woamy Strong Boards. To ensure the three Koti birdhouse boxes stay securely in place, Woamy’s design team included hinged Soft Board inserts on the sides of the birdhouse’s boxes, so they cannot move sideways.

“Ecological design and recycling are part of our core values, including our packaging. We use recyclable, fibre-based packaging for all our products, but the previous solution for Koti was not enough to prevent breakage during transportation. That’s why we reached out to Woamy. Together, we were able to quickly develop a solution that fits our existing packaging, protects our product and remains recyclable together with the box.” says Julie Tolvanen, designer and founder of Pidät.
