INSPIRED BY NATURE

Inspired by nature and backed by a decade of scientific research, Woamy has developed a sustainable alternative to plastic foams. Our biofoam is lightweight, exceptionally strong, and produced through a fast, mold-free manufacturing process, enabling the replacement of plastic foams at an industrial scale. While its potential applications are endless, Woamy is bringing its first biofoam solutions to market for protective packaging.

Our patented technology mimics the cellular structure of wood, giving our biofoam exceptional directional strength while remaining remarkably lightweight. Designed for high-performance protective packaging, Woamy biofoam helps protect products, reduce transportation weight, and advance your sustainability goals.

FLEXIBLE & CUSTOMISABLE

Woamy's continuous production process produces biofoam sheets that can be further processed into a wide range of solutions.

The sheets can be used for scratch protection, lightweight padding and wrapping, or converted into sleeves, pouches and box linings.

They also serve as the foundation for Woamy's flexible and rigid foam boards, which can be further processed into inlays, rolls and bumpers. These boards are suitable for impact protection, scratch protection, product presentation and secure product fitting.

Both sheets and boards can be customised to meet specific customer requirements, with adjustable thickness, density, colour and surface patterns.

“We were looking for a fiber-based packaging solution that could meet both our sustainability goals and the protection requirements of a high-quality medical device with sensitive optical technology. What impressed us was not only the recyclability of Woamy’s material, but also its cleanliness and performance”

“Woamy was chosen because of its sustainability and performance and capability to protect whisky sample bottles and fragile glass. Woamy’s material is unique and gives a premium finishing to our sample set. We are extremely happy about this cooperation and pleased with the final product.”

“Ecological design and recycling are part of our core values, including our packaging. We use recyclable, fibre-based packaging for all our products, but the previous solution for Koti was not enough to prevent breakage during transportation. That’s why we reached out to Woamy. Together, we were able to quickly develop a solution that fits our existing packaging, protects our product and remains recyclable together with the box.”

“No padding that I have tried before Woamy has been both functional, beautiful and an ecological choice. I was positively surprised by Woamy in every way.”

Laura Knuutti,

Keloa Eyeware founder

“Besides of being an ecological and beautiful solution, the material is ideal for glass since it gives a slight grip and friction against the glass, unlike cardboard and/or paper that slides on top of the material. I am glad to introduce to the world the Woamy’s biofoam with my art pieces.”
