Woamy was selected by Bpifrance to pitch at the InvestEU Portal DeepTech Forum's Circular Economy session during European DeepTech Week, held on March 6–20, 2026 in Paris, joining leading startups, investors, and industry players shaping the future of deep tech in Europe.

The Circular Economy session brought together innovative companies tackling global challenges and provided an opportunity for Woamy to showcase its circular biofoam solutions.

Reflecting on the European Deeptech Week, Woamy’s CEO and co-founder, Susanna Partanen, shared a few key takeaways:

Circularity should not require trade-offs. ♻️

👉 Europe has a real opportunity to build a competitive edge in deep tech — and we should take it.

👉 The global economy is challenging for everyone, making it even more important to build resilient businesses that can navigate uncertainty and change.

👉 Circularity is still too often seen as a “nice to have.” In reality, it is about resilience and efficiency — and it should add value, not be added on top.

At Woamy, we are building exactly that:

⭐ Our biofoam is made from renewable and recycled fibers and is recyclable in existing paper streams, enabling more efficient raw material use and reducing dependency on fossil-based materials.

⭐ Our biofoam is biodegradable, free from microplastics, and has up to 80% lower carbon footprint — preventing pollution at the source and avoiding downstream environmental and regulatory costs.

⭐ Our modular technology enables decentralized production, reducing transportation emissions and shipping costs.

⭐ Our technology enables flexible raw material use, allowing local sourcing and adapting to market availability.

All of this creates more resilient and cost-efficient supply chains.

Importantly, we are not just creating sustainable products — we are creating better products. We believe the future of materials will be both sustainable and high-performing, without compromise.

-Susanna Partanen, CEO & Co-founder of Woamy

We would like to thank Bpifrance for the opportunity to pitch, as well as the organizers and participants for an inspiring week.
